Happy Birthday Avery!

I can't believe she's one! Yesterday was her Birthday and as the day went on Sid and I just kept thinking back to that day and how we are so blessed to have such a beautiful, healthy little girl. She is getting so big so fast, and it's such a joy for us to watch her grow. It's amazing to think of how much we have grown too!
We are going to have the official party next week to celebrate her birthday with family but decided to have some fun just the three of us last weekend. We took her to This Is The Place - Heritage Park. We all had a lot of fun. I think she enjoyed the baby chicks the most. We've taken her to Cal Ranch a few times to see the baby ducks and chicks, but she isn't allowed to hold them there - so she was pretty excited that she got to pet them this time. She even got to play with the baby lambs and goats. It was a really good day.

Avery petting a baby chick. She was so excited and didn't really know what to do at first. So she just screamed and yelled excitedly. Directly behind where we were standing is a pen with peacocks in them. When we were looking at them and trying to show Avery they were all sleeping. Well, it didn't take too much of Avery's screaming before the whole pen was awake and squawking and making all kinds of noise!

She wasn't really into the lambs until out time was up. They we couldn't get to her go!

While we were on the Train Ride around the 'city' we were involved in a train robbery! Luckily the Sheriff was on the train and shot the bad guys, saved the loot and we were all safe.

Sid especially liked the wood shop. Of course.

I don't have many pictures of Avery and I. Sid insisted on this one - even though Avery had just about had enough and we couldn't really get her to cooperate.

I don't think this one needs an explanation :)

A Birthday wouldn't be complete without cake and ice cream!
